| The GEN III ECWCS Extreme Cold/Wet Weather Jacket and Trousers are designed for use in cold, wet conditions as a hard shell layer combined with other base and insulative layers. |
Constructed with two-layer GORE-TEX® fabric, the Level VI Extreme Cold/Wet Weather Jacket and Trousers provide a lightweight, completely waterproof, windproof and breathable level of protection against the elements. Featuring two-layer GORE-TEX® fabric, developed based on the technology of GOR-TEX® Paclite® Shells and sealed seams throughout, this level provides protection against cold, wet conditions with 50% less bulk than previous generation ECWCS GORE-TEX® garments.

| The Level VI jacket features a center-front zipper and two pass-through pockets, a visored hood that can be stowed in the hide-away collar and elastic cuffed sleeves with Velcro adjusters for added versatility. The trousers feature pass through pockets, 3/4 leg side zippers for easy access when donning over other layers or boots and elastic cuffs. The waist is constructed with an elastic cord with barrel locks for adjustability, belt loops and provisions for suspenders. |

How Does 2-Layer GORE-TEX® Work?

Waterproof:
Liquid water doesn’t penetrate the durably waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, keeping the wearer dry and comfortable, allowing for extended operational effectiveness. |
Windproof:
The windproof GORE-TEX® membrane blocks the wind, keeping the wearer warmer and more protected from the sand, rain, snow, and ice. Reducing heat loss from wind chill can increase the ability to operate for longer periods of time in harsh conditions. |
Dry & Comfortable:
The breathability of the GORE-TEX® membrane allows moisture vapor from perspiration to escape, keeping the wearer drier and more comfortable. |
